Sansevieria boncel ‘Starfish’

May sometimes be known as Sansevieria cylindrica, Dracaena boncel, or ‘Snake Plant’, these hardy plants have impressive round leaves that grow in a fan-like arrangement, and have attractive silvery-green bands.

Like all Sansevierias, they are very hardy and thrive on neglect. They can survive extended periods with very little water (but will grow much faster with regular watering and feeding, as long as they get a chance to dry out between watering).

They tolerate a range of conditions, preferring bright indirect light and can even tolerate full sun – but they can sometimes fade in direct sun, so to best preserve the leaf patterning some hours of shade are recommended.
