Aurea-A
We have been propagating these for the past few years to remove the troublesome “white” which tends to brown easy. Whilst, I can’t guarantee it won’t appear – so far this plant displays none of that whiteness.

You will need to look closely at the latest leaves to see the yellow – as it does not show up in photos until the leaf is mature.

Variegated Monstera deliciosa ‘Aurea’ – also known as Monstera Aurea or Golden Monstera – is a spectacular variegate of the Monstera deliciosa (which is the larger leaf form than the ‘Albo’) and we have been growing these gorgeous plants for several years, ensuring their variegation is stable.
Each of our Variegated Monstera deliciosa ‘Aurea’ are hand-picked cuttings from our best Mother plants – we analyse each one carefully – and then lovingly tend to them until they are fully rooted; putting on new leaves and ready for their forever home.
Aureas tend to be more slower-growing than the Variegated Monstera deliciosa borsigiana ‘Albo’, and are slightly more delicate; but will need a very similar level of care.
The variegation of the Monstera deliciosa ‘Aurea’ can sometimes be hard to photograph – see the example photos of the leaf colouration – the variegation on new leaves starts out a lighter & brighter green, and it takes around 6 weeks for the yellow/gold colour to develop. Some of those photos are of newer leaves which have the very bright green colour, and some are older which have turned properly yellow. Look at the photos and read the descriptions of each plant below, to get an idea of the variegation on their leaves.
We propagate all our Monstera ‘Aurea’ in the pot NOT in water, what this means for you is strong, stable roots that are taking up nutrients in the pot. Please note we don’t sell rooted cuttings due to the risk that they may or may not survive. We only sell fully established plants with 3 to 5 (plus) leaves that we know you will love, just like the ones here 💛💚
