Variegated Ficus rubiginosa (Port Jackson Fig)

Variegated Ficus rubiginosa (Variegated Port Jackson Fig or Rusty Fig) is an Australian native and makes a fantastic indoor plant. The variegation is very stable and just gorgeous. You are not likely to find this anywhere else in Australia for sale.

Whilst in the wild/garden it will grow massive and we advise NOT to plant it out. In a pot it is magnificent and easy to shape/prune.

Ficus rubiginosa is highly regarded as a bonsai plant and often recommended as ‘the very best tree for the beginner to practice with’ and ‘extremely forgiving to work with’.

We have grown these Variegated Ficus rubiginosa from cuttings and they are fully rooted and growing in their 100mm pots – see ruler for sizes (plants will vary). You will receive a plant very similar to the ones pictured – The Odd Spot Team will select a nice one for you.
