Philodendron Butts Hybrid – Super Size

Philodendron Butt’s Hybrid is one of the huge philodendrons. It is a hybrid done right here in Australia over 30 years ago by a Mr Len Butt of the Sunshine Coast. But what it is a cross between remains a mystery.

This plant has been growing in Neil’s Mums garden for many years and the size of the leaf and stem are impressive. The leaves grow to well over a metre and I could not get my hand around the stems.

And when we cut into the stem to propagate. What a delightful surprise. I just had to take a photo.
